Aniesha's early experiences performing with her family band, "The Huntsmen", at music festivals and on national television in Australia, combined with James' extensive experience as a musician and producer, led to the formation of their band, "In Need Of Sleep", in 2008. Since then, the band has graced many stages, including Woodford's "The Dreaming Festival", yearly NAIDOC week celebrations, The Gidarjil Festival, and the historic "10 Year Celebration of the Handing Back Of Land" at Mutawintji.

After a brief hiatus due to motherhood and family, Aniesha and James rebranded as Jamiesha, releasing their inspiring and powerful song "Until We're Free" in 2020. The song was awarded the Bronze Medal in three categories (Emerging Artist, Song, Protest Music) at the 2019 Global Music Awards, and then first place in the Open category of the Australian Songwriter’s Association nationwide competition in 2021, cementing their position as a force to be reckoned with in the Australian music scene.

As of 2023, Jamiesha is thrilled to welcome its newest member, Mone, to the band! Mone is an exceptionally talented drummer, and we're excited to have his unique musical style and energy on board. Although he's relatively new to the scene, Mone brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to the table. His passion for music is contagious, and we know that he'll help elevate Jamiesha's sound to new heights. We can't wait for our fans to hear what Mone has in store for us!
